Richard avedon

Biography: 

Richard Avedon's interest in photography began at a young age. He was named Poet Laureate of New York City High Schools in 1941. He also served as a Photographer's Mate Second Class during World War II. At twenty-two, he became a freelance photographer mostly working for the magazine Harper's Bazaar. In 1992, Richard became the first staff photographer at The New Yorker. To find out more information about Richard Avedon and his photography, look at his website.
